Asset preview might not work in the default catalog
Preview might not work for certain data assets in the default catalog.
Symptoms
When you go to the Preview tab of a data asset in the default catalog, you might be asked to provide credentials for accessing the asset. However, you might still not be able to preview the asset. This can happen for assets that were added to the default catalog through automated discovery. If an SSL connection was used for automated discovery, that connection is synced to the default catalog without the certificate. Thus, no connection can be established for previewing.
Resolving the problem
Complete these steps:

Find the connection in the default catalog and open the connection asset.

Go to the Asset tab and edit the connection.

Update the credentials and the SSL certificate.

Save your changes.

Go back to the asset that you couldn't preview before. Preview should now work.
