Enabling overwrite of term assignments when publishing quick scan results

Service This feature is available only if the full version of the Watson Knowledge Catalog service is installed on the IBM Cloud Pak for Data platform.

By default, existing term assignments in a catalog remain unchanged when users republish quick scan results. You can configure whether the term assignments users make during the review overwrite the term assignments for a data asset in the catalog when the user publishes quick scan results.

This configuration is independent of the catalog settings for duplicate asset handling. Those settings are ignored when quick scan results are published or republished.

Edit the ia-analysis deployment file to change the setting of the REPUBLISH_TERM_ASSIGNMENT flag to true.

Required role To complete this task, you must be an administrator of the project (namespace) where you deployed the Watson Knowledge Catalog service.

To change the setting, complete the following steps:

1. Log into the cluster:

   oc login <OpenShift_URL>:port
   

2. Set the REPUBLISH_TERM_ASSIGNMENT environment variable to true in the ia-analysis deployment. Then, wait for the pods to become ready.

   oc set env deploy ia-analysis REPUBLISH_TERM_ASSIGNMENT=true
