Tuning Content Platform Engine for wide area networks

Consider the following Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM) modifications to tune Content Platform Engine for wide area networks (WANs).

Tuning Content Platform Engine when the wide area network latency is slow
Consider increasing the com.ibm.CORBA.FragmentSize setting from its default value of 1 KB to the average workload request size when the wide area network latency is slow.
Tuning Content Platform Engine to control processing of the inbound file directory in a content cache
You can monitor PCH counters to determine if the content cache queue is growing and whether there are files in the inbound directory that are being marked as invalid. If needed, consider tuning four parameters in the FileNet.properties file to control processing of the inbound file directory for the content cache.
