Tuning Content Platform Engine background searches

Background search allows a search to be performed within a background sweep process. Although this type of search typically runs for a long time in the background, performance tuning is still important.

Without tuning, a complex, CBR, or aggregation search over millions of rows can have the following consequences:
  1. Be too slow to complete in an acceptable time frame.
  2. Consume a large amount of system resources.
  3. Negatively impact system performance of common activities.
