Installing FileNet Deployment Manager

You use FileNet Deployment Manager to deploy test systems into full production. You can install FileNet Deployment Manager interactively or silently.

About this task

The Content Platform Engine tools, including FileNet Deployment Manager, are no longer installed by the Content Platform Engine server installation. The installer for FileNet Deployment Manager is now available as part of the Content Platform Engine Tools package, which you can download from Passport Advantage. The instructions for installing FileNet Deployment Manager are included in the package.

Container installations can also use the Content Platform Engine Tools package to install FileNet Deployment Manager.

Procedure

To install FileNet Deployment Manager:

  1. Download the Content Platform Engine Tools package from Passport Advantage.
  2. Extract the contents of the package and follow the instructions in the FileNet Content Platform Engine Tools Getting Started guide to install the FileNet Deployment Manager.
  3. Install the latest software updates for the Content Platform Engine tools software to ensure optimal operation.
    The updates are available on the IBM Support website. The readme files for the updates contain installation procedures.
