About this task
You can hide a folder from users of client applications
or unhide a previously hidden folder. When you hide a folder, the
documents, custom objects, and folders that are contained in the folder
can still be found by a search.
Important: The root folder does not appear in client applications. Hiding the root
folder in these applications is due to internal logic and is not based on the value of
IsHiddenContainer property of the root folder.
Procedure
To hide or unhide a folder:
- Access the folder properties in the administration console:
- In the domain navigation pane, click the object store that contains the
folder.
- In the object store navigation pane, click Browse and click the
folder.
- In the Properties tab, select True or
False in the IsHiddenContainer property list.
Note: The IsHiddenContainer property extends the Content Management
Interoperability Services (CMIS) standard. Developers of client applications can access this flag
via the API and implement its logic to control the display of folders in their application.
