Configuring XML filtering for a server

Configure XML filtering for a new IBM® Content Search Services server or reconfigure XML filtering for all servers as needed. The XML filtering utility is installed as the css-xml-filter.jar file in the server-home/plugins directory when you install the IBM Content Search Services server.

Procedure

To set the surplus XML elements for one or more Content Platform Engine classes for a server:

  1. Edit the constructors configuration file to define the surplus XML elements and the associated Content Platform Engine classes.
  2. Stopping or starting a server. Restart the server.

What to do next

Reindexing a class. After configuring XML filtering for the servers, reindex any class whose associated surplus XML elements have changed.
