Software requirements
Before you install IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator, you must install the following
components to the levels specified in the IBM
FileNet P8 system requirements.
- IBM Content Integrator. You must have an installation of Content Integrator 8.6 or later that includes the necessary connectors to support the
repository types from which you federate content.
- Connector updates. Periodically, updated connectors are released for IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator fix packs. Check the latest fix pack readme file to determine
whether an updated connector is required for the source repository that you use. If so, install and
configure the new Content Integrator connector.
- A FileNet P8 installation. IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator is an optional component and communicates with the Content Platform Engine. See the IBM
FileNet P8 Compatibility Matrix to
determine the most current, compatible fix pack levels for Content Platform Engine and IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator.
Content-based retrieval
You can install IBM Content Search Services if you want to provide users with content-based retrieval (CBR)
capabilities when they search for federated content.
