Installing Cloud Management Platform

Steps to install Cloud Management Platform :

Note: As Cloud Management Platform 3.1.1.0 is a full release by itself, you do not have to import or deploy any prior version of Cloud Management Platform.

  1. Ensure that the secrets for IBM Cloud Management Platform are created before configuring the Helm chart.

  2. Verify that the Persistent Volumes for IBM Cloud Management Platform are created.

  3. Configure IBM Cloud Private for Cloud Management Platform 3.1.1 that is behind proxy. Login to IBM Cloud Private.

    1. Go to Catalog > Helm Charts.
    2. Search for IBM Cloud charts.
    3. Double click ibm-cloud-mgmt-platform-prod V 3.1.1.
    4. Review instructions and click Configure.
  4. Enter the following install parameters and accept license agreement:

    Helm release name - Enter core in release name. The name must begin with a lowercase letter and end with any alphanumeric character. It must only contain hyphens and lowercase alphanumeric characters.

    Target namespace - From the drop down list, select core.

    Kubernetes Storage Type - NFS or GlusterFS Storage. If you are using GlusterFS for persistent volumes, then specify additional chart install parameters. Refer Creating Cost and Asset Management persistent volumes using GlusterFS for more details.

    API Gateway Secret - Secret to access API Gateway.

    Note: For information on additional installation parameters, see Installation parameters.

    Click Install.
