Get a quick overview of what is new with IBM Cloud Pak® for AIOps.
IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps 4.4.1 delivers updates for Infrastructure Automation Managed services, log anomaly detection, and security fixes.
IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps leverages AI to streamline IT operations, increase uptime, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. The solution supports Operations teams to deliver optimum performance and assurance by:
- Breaking down data silos
- Providing real-time insights into IT systems
- Augmenting incident management with AI
- Automating incident resolution
The following new features and changes are introduced with this IBM Cloud Pak version:
- Install and upgrade
- Anomaly detection
- Infrastructure Automation
- Non-production (tech preview)
- Security and compliance
Install and upgrade
- IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps and Infrastructure Automation both use IBM Cloud Pak® foundational services. IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps 4.4.1 consumes IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v4.4. IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v4.4 does not automatically install a certificate manager or a license service which IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v3 did. Extra steps are required to deploy these in the installation procedure, and in the upgrade procedure if you are upgrading from IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps 4.3.0. Learn more.
Anomaly detection
- Log anomaly detection - golden signals training is updated so that the training now continues if one of the
aimanager-aio-log-anomaly-golden-signals
pods goes down. For more information about golden signals, see log anomaly detection - golden signals.
Infrastructure Automation
-
Infrastructure Automation uses IBM Cloud Pak® foundational services. Infrastructure Automation 4.4.1 consumes IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v4.4. IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v4.4 does not automatically install a certificate manager or a license service which IBM Cloud Pak foundational services v3 did. Extra steps are required to deploy these in the installation procedure, and in the upgrade procedure if you are upgrading from Infrastructure Automation 4.3.0. Learn more.
-
Infrastructure Automation Managed services is updated to use OpenTofu, an open source infrastructure as code tool that is based on an open-source fork of Terraform. As part of this move to OpenTofu, versions of Terraform that were shipped with Infrastructure Automation, are replaced with OpenTofu binaries. Infrastructure Automation uses OpenTofu for automation and orchestration. If you prefer to use Terraform binaries from Hashicorp, you can download the binaries from Hashicorp and upload them into Managed services.
