Email integration

Guidelines for email integration are mentioned in this topic.

IBM does not set up email servers or provide any configuration to integrate with external email servers. However, customers can adopt one of the following methods to set up an email system:

Customers can deploy their own email servers and request IBM to enable the corresponding IP and open ports. Customers must implement a secure email service component in IBM® Sterling Order Management System through the customization route and configure it on their own such that the custom email service component can communicate with the external email server.
Notes:
  • When customers modify or create services using the Service Definition Framework in IBM Sterling Order Management System, they must not use the SMTP E-mail component as it does not match IBM's cloud security standards.
  • If customers want to integrate with an independent software vendor (ISV) and a product that is not listed, contact IBM to determine whether the ISV product is compatible with IBM Sterling Order Management System.
