Integrated reporting with Cognos Analytics

You can configure IBM OpenPages® for IBM Cloud Pak for Data instances to use Cognos® Analytics for your organization's reporting requirements.

Integration overview

You can set up the integration with Cognos Analytics when you provision an OpenPages instance. You can also set up the integration for instances that already exist.

The Cognos Analytics instance and the OpenPages instance must be installed in the same instance of IBM Cloud Pak® for Data.

You can integrate multiple OpenPages instances with a single Cognos Analytics instance.

After you set up the integration, you enable Cognos Analytics in your OpenPages instance and generate the reporting framework.

For more information, see Adding Cognos Analytics to OpenPages.

Reporting framework

The reporting framework consists of Cognos Analytics framework models. The models support relational data used for creating reports in Cognos Analytics.

If you’ve used OpenPages on-premises, you’ll notice that the options for framework generation have changed. IBM OpenPages for IBM Cloud Pak for Data uses a different, streamlined process to generate reporting frameworks.
