Requirements for the warehouse server components
The server components of have requirements for hardware, software, disk space, and memory.
Operating system and hardware requirements
The following table shows the operating system and hardware requirements for the server component.

Notes:
- , V9.7.3 includes DB2®, V9.7.4, but supports DB2 V9.5 and above.
- The Administration Console is installed with WebSphere® Application Server version 7.0.1.5, but supports Version 7.0.0.3 and above.
- Virtual machine operating systems are not officially supported.
Web browser requirements
Ensure that you have one of the following browsers on your computer:
- Internet Explorer V7.0
- Internet Explorer V6.0 with SP 1
- Firefox V3.0
- Firefox V2.0
Disk space requirements
Ensure that you have enough disk space on your computer as follows:
- Temporary space for installable images (Passport Advantage® only)
If you are a Passport Advantage customer, before you can install the product, you must download the installation images to the target computer. These images contain the installation executable files for the components that you are installing. The temporary space that is required for these images is different from the space that is required to run the installation program.
Approximately 1.2 GB of disk space is recommended for the installation images of the server components. If you also download the installation images for the client components on the same computer, you need a total of 2.5 GB of disk space.
- Temporary space for running the installation program
Approximately 1.5 GB of disk space is recommended.
- Permanent space for the server component
Approximately 2 GB of disk space is recommended for the installation directory of the server components.
Memory requirements
Ensure that you have enough memory on your computer as follows:
- Memory for installing the product
A minimum of 1 GB of memory is required to install the server components.
- Memory for running the product
A minimum of 1 GB of memory is the required to run the server components. If you run the client components on the same computer, 2 GB of memory is recommended.
