Monitoring Agent for IBM Cloud Pak Software

The Monitoring Agent for IBM® Cloud Pak Software (Cloud Pak Software Agent) provides the tools that allow you to monitor and troubleshoot the system.

Overview of the Cloud Pak Software Agent
The Cloud Pak Software Agent provides tools that allow you to monitor and troubleshoot Cloud Pak System. The System Monitoring shared service is the base for this monitoring agent. It is automatically deployed with the System Monitoring shared service.
Using an external instance of the Cloud Pak Software Agent
To view monitoring data, you can use either the Cloud Pak Software Agent that is deployed automatically with the System Monitoring shared service, or you can install the agent on a computer that is not part of Cloud Pak System Software.
Viewing monitoring data for an internal System Monitoring shared service
IBM Cloud Pak System Software Monitoring Portal gives you access to the data that is collected by the monitoring agents. You can open the portal from the user interface.
Workspaces reference
A workspace is the working area in which the monitoring data collected by the Cloud Pak System Software Agent is presented. The Navigator tree that is displayed at the left of the workspace contains a list of the workspaces provided by the Cloud Pak System Software Agent.
Attributes reference
Attributes are the application properties that are being measured and reported by the Monitoring Agent for IBM Cloud Pak System Software.
Situations reference
A situation is a logical expression involving one or more system conditions. Situations are used to monitor the condition of systems in your network. You can manage situations from the IBM Cloud Pak System Software Monitoring Portal by using the Situation Editor or from the command-line interface using the tacmds for situations.
