Overview of Db2 11.1.2.2 installation
Note: To install IBM®
DB2® Advanced Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.2.2, Linux 64-bit, you first need to
install Db2 11.1.0 and update your database to
Db2 Version 11.1 Mod 2 Fix Pack2.
The following steps gives you an overview of a typical scenario of Db2 database installation on a distributed environment.
- Download the following installation files to your local directory according to your environment
setup.
- Db2 Advanced Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.0.0, Linux 64-bit (RESTRICTED) version.
- Special Build 36892 for DB2 11.1.2 Fix Pack 2 for Linux/x86-64 (64 bit), DB2 Universal Fix Pack .
- Special Build 36892 for IBM Data Server Client (Linux/x86-64 64 bit) V11.1.2 Fix Pack 2 .
- Ensure that your system meets the necessary operating system, hardware, software, communications, disk, and memory requirements for Db2 Advanced Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.2.2.
- Install Db2 Advanced Workgroup Server
Edition 11.1.2.2.
- Install Db2 Advanced Workgroup Server Edition 11.1.0.0, Linux 64-bit (RESTRICTED) version.
- Apply the Db2 11.1 Mod 2 Fix Pack2, Special Build 36892 for DB2 11.1.2 Fix Pack 2 for Linux/x86-64 (64 bit), DB2 Universal Fix Pack .
- Perform post Db2 Server 11.1.2.2 installation configurations.
- Install IBM Data Server Client V11.1.2 Fix Pack2, Special Build 36892 for IBM Data Server Client (Linux/x86-64 64 bit)
V11.1.2 Fix Pack 2 .
- Perform post Db2 11.1.2.2 Client installation configurations.
Note: You need not install the Db2 client on Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager Database server. However, Db2 client is required on every other host where you want to install the Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager components.
