Prerequisites for installing Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager - Application Studio tools

Ensure that you fulfill these prerequisites before installing and configuring Tivoli® Netcool® Performance Manager - Application Studio on a Microsoft Windows computer.

Microsoft Windows computer hardware

A minimum of 4 GB RAM with a 2 GHz processor.

Microsoft Windows operating system

Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager - Application Studio WirelessModelling must be installed on a Microsoft Windows computer. WirelessModelling is compatible on Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows XP Professional, x86-32, Win32.

IBM Cognos Framework Manager 10.2.2

You must have IBM Cognos Framework Manager installed and configured to communicate with the Tivoli Common Reporting server. You can get the installation files from the following download images on Passport Advantage.

To install Framework Manager, you must first install Framework Manager from the CognosModeling directory.

Download the Framework Manager 10.2.2 from IBM Passport Advantage.

Oracle Client 19c

Framework Manager requires an ODBC connection to import and use an Oracle data source.

For Oracle ODBC, the Oracle Client with the ODBC add-on is required.

Note: Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager 1.4.4 Fix Pack4 Wireless component now supports Oracle 19c.

Oracle Instant Client 19c

You must install the Oracle libraries that are contained in the Oracle instant client package.

Note: You must install both Oracle Client and Instant Client on the Jazz for Service Management server.
