Security types

Security types have permissions that define the actions that users can do.

A security type or security resource, is a product area that can have permissions defined for it. Each security type has a set of permissions that affects how users interact with it. Most security types can have additional defined types, which are sometimes called subtypes. By default, each type has a defined subtype, which is called the Standard type. The following table lists security types and permissions.

  • edit: Modify and delete agent pools
  • view: Access agent pools in the UI but cannot modify them
CodeStation
  • create: Create CodeStation projects
  • edit: Modify and delete CodeStation projects
  • view: Access CodeStation projects in the UI but cannot modify them
  • download: Download artifacts from CodeStation
Job
  • create: Create jobs
  • edit: Modify and delete jobs
  • view: Access jobs in the UI but cannot modify them
Project
  • create: Create projects
  • edit: Modify and delete projects
  • view: Access projects in the UI but cannot modify them
  • artifact download: Download artifacts from CodeStation or other repositories
Project process
  • add manual stamp: Apply manual time stamps
  • add manual status: Apply manual statuses
  • delete history: Delete project history
  • abort: Cancel running project processes
  • artifact download: Download project artifacts from CodeStation or other repositories
  • prioritize: Determine run priority when a project has two or more processes
  • restart: Restart project processes
  • run: Run project processes
