PCI bus isolation procedures
Use PCI bus isolation procedures if there is not a management
console attached to the server. If the server is connected to a management
console, use the procedures that are available on the management console
to continue FRU isolation.
PCI bus isolation using AIX, Linux, or the management console
Isolate a PCI bus problem from the management console or while running in the AIX® or Linux® environment.
Verifying a system PCI bus repair
Use this procedure to verify a repair for a system PCI bus.
Analyzing a PCI bus reference code
Use Word 7 of the reference code to determine the bus number, bus type, and logical card number from the direct select address (DSA).
DSA translation
The Direct Select Address (DSA) may be coded in word 7 of the reference code.
Card positions
The following information correlates PCI bus numbers to PCI card location codes for the listed machine types and models.
