Now from IBM: Training in cloud technologies at no charge to you.

Tuesday was a big day in the cloud. It was the day we threw open the gates to our pool of cloud training programs and invited everyone to jump on in. For free.

And after just two days, the response has been astounding!

We’ve been aware for some time of the gap between cloud capabilities and cloud needs. According to a study by the IBM Institute for Business Value, 79% of companies say they need advanced cloud capabilities.

We’ve also known that professionals want training. When we held our four-day Cloud Architect Study Jam at the IBM Center for Cloud Training (ICCT) in February, nearly 8,000 people from countries around the globe signed up.

So what could be more attractive than free? We’ve taken this step as part of IBM’s commitment to providing 30 million people worldwide with new skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow by 2030.

Now it is your turn to learn, with new, no-cost plans.

Learn today about the next big thing

When it comes to cloud, the future is not just on the horizon — it is here. Cloud is a booming industry that is expected to hit 1 trillion USD within five years. And in the process, it will radically change how businesses operate.

In response, the ICCT has designed training curricula to help IT professionals hone their skills, advance their careers and help their organizations thrive. Our programs are designed for large-scale, on-demand, worldwide upskilling.

At ICCT, we offer role-based training and certifications like Cloud Architect, Cloud Developer and Cloud Site Reliability Engineer, as well as specialty certifications in Security, Financial Services, Satellite and DevSecOps.

We offer these training and certifications the way learners want, with an innovative mixture of lectures, study guides and hands-on exercises delivered digitally so learners can participate whenever and wherever is best for their busy schedules.

And now, we offer them without charge.

This is something IBM knows how to do

All this is part of the IBM tradition. For 100 years now, we’ve focused on ensuring that our employees, Business Partners and customers are up to speed on the products and technologies that can move their business ahead. In offering cloud training at no charge, IBM continues its longstanding history of supporting open-source technologies.

Most recently, our cloud certification programs have been keeping up with IBM tradition in just the way you’d expect — with a year-over-year increase in enrollments of approximately 1,500%.

Our new, no-cost plan aims to make that success even bigger.
