End of Life for Data Store for Memcache

Data Store for Memcache was an experimental service in the IBM Cloud that implemented the Memcache API for caching use cases.

For new and old users that are looking for this functionality, we recommend Databases for Redis. For those interested in the technology in this space developed by IBM Research, we recommend reviewing this presentation.

Here’s what you need to know:

End of Marketing Date: March 4, 2020

End of Support Date: April 4, 2020

For a period of 30 days after the End of Marketing Date, all existing instances will continue to be available on the Services dashboard in the IBM Cloud console.
Any instance still provisioned as of the End of Support Date will be deleted. Please extract data that is still desired as soon as possible.
Please remember to delete your Data Store for Memcache service instances before the End of Support Date.
