On April 26, 2022, all IBM Cloud Databases for MongoDB instances on version 4.0 that are still active will be upgraded in-place to the next major version.

This will be done according to our Database Versioning Policy. Users are expected to either be on MongoDB version 4.2 or get the latest preferred version of IBM Cloud Databases for MongoDB

Customers can upgrade their database instances using the following documentation.
