As stated again a few weeks ago in my last blog post, I will continue to aim for arranging insightful and hopefully inspiring webinars around technology, digitisation etc.
Today I would like to present two webinars that are definitely worth watching. The first one has already taken place and is available on-demand and the second will take place on Wednesday 30th September. Both webinars are dealing with the banking industry and what customers and stakeholders are expecting and demanding from a technological perspective.
On-demand Webinar: A Look At The Post-Pandemic Bank & The Need For Extreme Digitisation
In this webinar, the CTO of Financial Services Nordic and Banking Industry Technical leader, Pål Krogdahl, discussed the future trends in banking following the pandemic.
Krogdahl addressed the disruption that the banking industry is enduring and the consequent need for rapid and comprehensive digitisation.
The new innovations of fintech and its impact on technology, regulations, and people were elaborated on while considering how this affects performance and the overall customer experience. Likewise, the applications of AI in the banking industry was examined, in which the advantages of the disruptive platform business models are elucidated.
The Clients Are Changing Habits – What About The Banks?
Digital and mobile technologies have been changing customers’ banking behaviour. Most banks have already found it difficult to catch up. The struggle worsened overnight with the COVID-19 outbreak. Now more than ever banks must become more customer-centric.
In this webinar, Danny Tang, IBM Industry Academy Member and the Global Banking Front Office Transformation Leader, will discuss the challenges and trends in digital banking and how banks can transform progressively. Danny will share IBM’s point of view and how leading banks are taking on this challenge by building a hyper modular architecture leveraging open platforms.
I am very much looking forward to presenting Danny to this webinar next week, and I hope you will join us for an exciting session. If you have any questions or suggestions for subjects to cover, please feel free to contact me at niklasp@dk.ibm.com.

What it is really about the long-standing challenge of making data available. It is another one of these topics that often gets the reaction “How hard […]
How to act in the new regulation of financial sector
Our world is changing. Because of that regulators around the world are taking ambitious steps to improve the sustainability of the financial sector and guide capital towards sustainable economic activity. Especially in EU we are seeing a high level of regulations. These regulatory interventions present complex and sensitive legal challenges for financial sector firms, which […]
Private cloud or public cloud? New server technology offers more choice
In September, we launched the new IBM Power E1080 high-end server, for corporate use based on the new Power10 architecture, the Power E1080. The server can – among many other things – handle a large number of applications and workloads securely, at scale and with highest availability. Going into the spring of 2022, we will […]
