Last week IBM announced Project DataWorks, a Watson initiative that is the industry’s first cloud-based data and analytics platform to integrate all types of data and enable AI-powered decision-making. Project DataWorks is designed to make it simple for business leaders and data professionals to collect, organize, govern and secure data, so they can gain the insights needed to become a cognitive business. The initial feedback from clients and Business Partners has been overwhelmingly positive.

Project DataWorks is all about data management, it’s about analytics, it’s about Watson, it’s about collaboration across different roles and it has a methodology to get started. It’s very comprehensive, and as it’s cloud-based, everyone has access. This is a huge competitive leap for our analytics business and opportunity for our clients.
