The new IBM Subscription

Until now an IBM Subscription could only be purchased relative to Cloud and Data/AI product areas. Dependent on the software products a client is using (Cloud or Data/AI) there is a subscription that fits for all. What is changing

The existing subscriptions will continue to exist and there is a possibility that additional topics will be added. However IBM clients are increasingly buying more Cloudpaks. On the one hand, the existing strategy fits the Cloudpaks which are available for Cloud, Data/AI and Security and clients can purchase a subscription matching the Cloudpak. On the other hand, clients are starting to use multiple Cloudpaks together. For this reason  Offering Management and the IBM Business Units decided on another approach for the Cloud or Data/AI Subscription which will benefit all area’s. Starting early Q3, IBM will release a new IBM Digital Learning Subscription, which will cover most of IBM product areas. Clients will be able to purchse one subscription for all their learning needs.

Furthermore we are already working with our colleagues at Red Hat on creating a subscription bundle so that IBM clients can increase their skills with Cloudpaks including Red Hat all in one place and directly from IBM.
