What is counting more than the words of our Clients?

30-day-Social-Digital-Challenge and Story Telling

There is currently inside IBM the “30-day-Social-Digital-Challenge” going on. This means there is a short learning session every day around good practices and ideas. Finally the expectation is to learn more around Social Media for everybody. I started to listen in yesterday finally for the first time after a short vacation, and the topic was “Story Telling”. I got reminded that this is not a new topic and I was positively surprised that it has still a lot of value also for Social Media.

And this also let me to the conclusion to write this article: We should in this Blog speak much more often about good stories of our Clients. I recently saw the story from Banorte (a Mexico-Based Banking Giant). They increased skills in the Database area. Training enabled Banorte to convert to a new customer-focused model. Their statement:  “We will be able to achieve [success] by combining technology, training, platforms and talent with the commitment of generating a real change in interacting with our customers,” said Javier Tomás Ramírez Zarco, assistant director, Management, Talent and Communication for Banorte. “We will have metrics that will enable us to make the right decisions. We’ll significantly improve customer relations, encouraging their loyalty and profitability and giving way to what we call the new IT.”

I write in this Blog a lot about statistics and quality and values of Skills. Lots of valuable sources are helping with this. But: Aren’t the words of our customers counting much more?
