As the IBM Cloud grows, the IBM Center for Cloud Training flourishes as well

We have been busy at the IBM Center for Cloud Training (ICCT)! It has been only a year since we started offering all of our training programs free of charge—to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

And in that period, we have certified thousands of cloud professionals and were recognized with awards by the industry three times: Chief Learning Officer LearningElite, Brandon Hall, and Globee.

But our busy schedules and our growth in certifications have not been only about free training. In response to needs and requests from around the globe, we have grown our offerings with new role-based and technology-focused certifications, new learning tools, and new ways to demonstrate what these professionals have achieved.

Here are some of the highlights from our programs—and the learning opportunities we offer—during the past 12 months.

• Cloud Compass is our tool for figuring out which training is right for individuals by matching their expertise and goals with our certification programs. Learners simply complete our easy, online questionnaire to learn where they stand and what steps to take next. In just five quick questions, learners can begin the path to success.

• Cloud Prep App gives learners all the materials they need to study for—and pass—an IBM Cloud certification exam. Candidates have access to detailed study guides, flashcards, and practice quizzes for all of the ICCT Cloud certifications, from foundation courses to our newest specialties. Access online with no need to download – available on the desktop or on the go.

• Study Jams are an innovative approach to learning and, eventually, to certification – built on robust and engaging study sessions that bring together IBM thought leaders, certified professionals, and learners from all over the world. These in-depth, online study sessions incorporate seminars, one-on-one answer sessions with IBM experts, videos, and a dedicated study channel, where an enthusiastic cloud community is ready to assist learners through collaboration and answering questions. Recent sessions include prep for cloud professional architect, technical advocate, and security engineer specialty.

Credentials that can be earned quickly

We now offer badges that professionals can use to show their accomplishments on the path to certification. ICCT badges are offered by taking quizzes at defined milestones in the curriculum.
