Do you need to know how to create and manage your maps in IBM Sterling SCBN? Then, we have the IBM Map Editor course for you.
The IBM Map Editor is used to translate and test the data from one data format into another data format. The IBM Map Editor is a stand-alone program that allows you to specify the data that flows to and from your trading partners using conditional logic and rules so that you can easily map between formats and standards to suit your needs. This provides for increase efficiency in trading and managing e-commerce data.

DL25030G Getting Your SCBN Mapping Learning Environment
Self-paced, 15 minutes
This course shows you how to request a learning environment which you use in the Creating Maps Using SCBN Best Practices course. The learning environment contains the application and the data used in the course exercises which help reinforce the concepts in the courses. Your learning environment is be available for ten days.
DL25031G Creating Maps Using SCBN Best Practices
Self-paced, 12 to 16 hours
This course provides an in-depth review of the concepts and best practices for creating and maintaining translation maps that use the map editor for IBM Sterling Supply Chain Business Network (SCBN). This course prepares you to maintain and manage maps that you use in the SCBN environment. With self-service capabilities emerging as a growing use case within SCBN, this course a required part of the enablement activities for clients who are interested in using Configuration Hub to manage their translation maps in SCBN.
The hands-on exercises cover creating, testing, and compiling an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 850 inbound map and an EDI 810 outbound map. This course takes between 12 and 16 hours to complete, depending on your experience level in mapping.
IBM SCBN Mapping Specialist Badge
The badge quiz tests your knowledge and skills from DL25030G and DL25031G. This quiz consists of 20 questions and requires a passing score of 16 correct answers. Quiz questions cover:
- Understanding of mapping concepts and best practices
- Using the IBM Map Editor
- Creating and updating an Inbound 850
- Creating and updating Outbound 810
- Compiling and testing maps
- Trouble shooting compilation errors
