Get a fast start with training for rookies at IBM TechU events

IBM Systems Technical University (TechU) events are industry renowned for delivering IBM’s most comprehensive systems training. Each year, we add new focus areas to meet the needs of our clients. An area that has gotten a lot of press in the past few years is the IT skills gap. More and more companies are finding it difficult to staff their data centers and IT departments. And once hired, new employees frequently need extra training to be fully productive.

To meet this need for immersive training for new hires, IBM Systems TechU has introduced “rookies” tracks at multiple events. These lectures and labs focus on a specific skill-building area. The two October TechU events in Hollywood, FL offer these rookies tracks:

z/OS for Rookies

Early career IBM z/OS programmers and engineers can get a fast start with this combined face-to-face and e-learning offering. Choose from 24 lectures and labs on z/OS performance management, Workload Manager, RACF, system automation, TSO, ISPF and data sets, and more! And we are partnering with Interskill to offer their 53 e-learning courses at no additional charge. These classes are available from the time you register through January 15, 2019.
