If you’ve been wanting to expand your Power Systems IT resources and reach into cloud, there’s now an easy way to do so. We’re pleased to announce that from 31st of August, you can provision IBM Power Virtual Servers with your choice of Linux, AIX or IBM i in IBM’s data centre in Sydney, and get your workloads up and running in the IBM Cloud.

What this means is that your workloads can now be extended to private, public or hybrid clouds with increased performance, adaptability, resiliency and security of IBM Power Systems.

Hybrid, private or public – the way you want it

It’s the best of IBM Power Systems and the best of IBM Cloud in one, convenient, self-managed, environment. We can help you keep your budgets under control with transparent pricing and pay-as-you-use billing.

So here are the key features:

Private Cloud

IBM Private cloud enhances business continuity with cloud-like scaling, now available in our Power scale-out server range! This will let you optimize CAPEX and OPEX with pay-for-use (by the minute) capacity consumption.

Private Cloud also enables you to make informed decisions on capacity requirements utilising IBM Cloud Management Console with granular, real-time & historical views of consumption and gives you greater flexibility to co-locate existing AIX/IBM i and new cloud-native applications.

Consistent Hybrid Cloud Management

Our consistent hybrid cloud management starts on a unified foundation with Red Hat OpenShift and IBM Cloud Paks to manage your hybrid IT environments on Power, x86 and Z, and enterprise automation with Ansible content for AIX and IBM i.

SAP Certification

On top of all that, SAP has also certified HANA on IBM Power Systems Virtual Servers, making it the most powerful SAP certified server on the cloud today!
