Dr. Angelo De Caro

Angelo De Caro is a Research Staff Member at IBM Research Lab in Zurich, Switzerland. Angelo received his PhD in Cryptography in 2013 from the University of Salerno, Italy, with a thesis on Functional Encryption. After his PhD, Angelo worked with Dr. Tatsuaki Okamoto at NTT, Japan, in 2013 and with Prof. Michel Abdalla at École normale supérieure, France, in 2014-2015. Angelo joined IBM in 2015 and since then his research is focused on the security and privacy aspects of blockchain. Angelo is one of the architects of Hyperledger Fabric and member of the Hyperledger Technical Steering Committee.
