PowerAI on IBM Cloud is supported by Nimbix, Inc. Nimbix will be performing required security and GPU driver updates.

This work will be performed on S822LC for HPC Power Systems. The patches and GPU driver have been tested and validated on other machines not in use.

Here are the dates you need to know

Service Update: July 10, 2019, 9am PST

The service update will shut down all existing jobs and apply the security patch and GPU driver updates to the underlying hardware. This will delete all existing data. Prior to this service update, instances provisioned with Cloud Object Storage credentials can save their data to the COS bucket in the /data directory to avoid data loss. Data can also be copied to COS via tools like awscli and rclone.

After the update on July 10th, customers will be unable to recover existing instances. If you would like to continue to use PowerAI, visit the IBM Cloud catalog to recreate the cloud instance and provisioning a new small, medium, or large service plan. We recommend provisioning PowerAI instances with COS credentials to facilitate easy data backup in the future.
