IBM Cloud infrastructure services has attained Korea Information Security Management System (K-ISMS) certification for its data center in Seoul, South Korea.

K-ISMS—a Korean government-backed certification sponsored by the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA)—is designed to assess if an organization’s information security management system is properly established, managed, and operated. Public organizations and government agencies that have compulsory or voluntary requirements to achieve their own K-ISMS certification can build on the IBM Cloud infrastructure certification to help accelerate the protection of key digital information assets and meet KISA compliance standards.

The IBM Cloud data center SEO01 in Seoul, South Korea is included in the scope of K-ISMS certification. IBM Cloud infrastructure services were certified by KISA under the supervision of the Korean Ministry of Science and Information Technology (MSIT). The certification is valid for three years and subject to an annual audit.
