We are excited to announce the latest enhancements to the usage reporting, billing, and payment experience in IBM Cloud.

As of 10 December 2020, new Pay-As-You-Go customers based in the US that upgrade their Lite accounts with a credit card are the first users to migrate to this new experience. And we’ll be working diligently in the upcoming year to enhance the billing and payment experience for the remainder of new and existing customers worldwide.

New and improved invoicing

The new simplified invoice format highlights the most important details that matter to you. By showcasing when the usage is measured, you can view each invoice’s billing period in a clarified and comprehensive manner. As a new US Pay-As-You-Go credit card customer, you will also receive calendar-month billing for all your infrastructure and platform consumption to facilitate easier tracking and internal cost allocations.

You will see a direct, one-to-one reference between your invoice and the usage details in the IBM Cloud console that enables you to map and track your consumption. You can access links in the invoice that lead you right to your usage dashboard in the console.

We added a new section to the invoice that summarizes any adjustments and credits from prior months, including details that reference charges from the original invoice. Additionally, you’ll find your final charges and taxes summarized in a clear and succinct way.

Want to keep a copy of your invoice? You can easily download it at any time right from the console without being redirected to a different IBM website.

Managing your payment details

In addition to downloading your invoice, you can now update your payment details or replace an existing card with a new one without leaving the console. The updated payments page offers a single place with a simplified view for managing your payment methods.

What’s next?

We’re excited about these latest enhancements and are confident they will greatly improve your payment and invoicing experience. Check back as we continue to roll out these enhancements plus new features to a broader set of customers in the coming year. Feel free to let us know what you think by using the Feedback button that’s available on any page in the IBM Cloud console.

See our video to learn more about the enhancements.
