We are announcing the deprecation of the IBM Cloud Auto-Scaling service for IBM Cloud Foundry Public Apps.

We previously announced new autoscaling capabilities for IBM Cloud Foundry Public that greatly simplified the overall developer experience of building Cloud Foundry apps on IBM Cloud

As we make these new capabilities Generally Available, we are announcing the deprecation of the IBM Cloud Auto-Scaling service. Customers who are currently using the service are encouraged to migrate their Auto-Scaling policies. If you have an existing Auto-Scaling service instance bound to your Cloud Foundry Public application, we recommend you export the existing policy, unbind the service, and recreate the policy for your application using the new autoscaling capability. You need to avoid having both old and new autoscaling policies attached to your application. Follow the migration docs for more details.

End of Marketing Date: August 1, 2019

As of August 1, 2019, new Auto-Scaling instances cannot be provisioned. However, existing instances will continue to be supported.

End of Support Date: October 1, 2019

Any instance still provisioned as of October 1, 2019, will be deleted.
