IBM just released a deeper integration of the IBM SQL Query in IBM Cloud Object Storage. 

This provides an end-to-end serverless experience and consumption mode for data processing and analytics on cloud object storage.

In the IBM Cloud Object Storage dashboard, you can now directly configure SQL integration. SQL-queryable data formats on cloud object storage are automatically tagged with “SQL,” and you can directly launch the IBM SQL Query console to query this data with just a few mouse clicks.

This accounts for the popular data lake use cases of many users of Cloud Object Storage by allowing them to conduct interactive data lake workflows directly in the IBM Cloud console.
