IBM Cloud Essentials is free, has no prerequisites, and can be completed in less than a day. Earn your IBM Cloud Essentials V2 badge by successfully completing all course activities and passing the test. Cloud Essentials is recommended for anyone who would like to understand IBM Cloud.

IBM Cloud Essentials is a companion course to Introduction to Cloud, released in March. With the release of Cloud Essentials and Intro to Cloud, IBM now offers a complete training path to the associate-level IBM Cloud Solution Advisor certification

IBM Cloud Essentials includes four self-paced modules:

  1. Introduction to the IBM Cloud introduces cloud services, deployment options, and account types.
  2. Infrastructure Services explains IBM Cloud servers, networks, and storage.
  3. Workloads on the IBM Cloud includes Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and serverless cloud functions.
  4. Solutions on the IBM Cloud describes AI and data services, IBM Cloud Paks, and DevOps support.
