PostgreSQL ltree is enabled by default in the newly released version of IBM Cloud Hyper Protect DBaaS for PostgreSQL.

We are excited to announce the availability of PostgreSQL ltree module for your database instances that are running in IBM Cloud.

The ltree data type represents labels of data that are stored in a hierarchical tree-like structure. With the PostgreSQL ltree module, you can store data type ltree in IBM Cloud Hyper Protect DBaaS and then easily search, save, and manipulate through label trees in databases. Learn more about how to use and create an ltree module in the IBM Catalog.
