A variety of new enhancements are now enabled to help personalize dashboards for you and your team.

We’ve added new widgets, customizable dashboard templates, and the ability to scope the resources that are displayed on the dashboard. We are giving you the power to organize your landing experience in the matter of seconds with our latest dashboard features.

Custom, shareable dashboard

Instead of having only one default dashboard and layout, you can now create and share unlimited customized dashboards. Feel free to add widgets and arrange the layout any way you’d like. After a dashboard is saved, it can be shared with other users in your account. Additional users can be added as dashboard managers to co-create a view that aligns with your workflow.

Scoped dashboard

Are you tired of looking at all the resources that are in your account? When you utilize the scoped dashboard functionality, you are no longer restricted to an account-wide view. Dashboards can be scoped to display the resources that are relevant to you and your team. At any time, you can go back and update the scope as your needs change. By adjusting the scope of the resource, you can filter by resource groups, tags, and locations. After you save the dashboard, all applicable widgets will reflect the filtered scope (applicable widgets include Apps, Toolchains, Resources, Clusters, and maintenance widgets).

Dashboard templates

Select a dashboard template as a way to begin customizing your landing experience. You can start from scratch with a blank template or choose one of our other template options based on the needs of your team. You can use the templates as a starting point and adjust the layout and add and remove widgets as needed.

Manage dashboards

Creating and sharing unlimited dashboards can seem overwhelming—but, don’t fear! We have created an experience to help manage any dashboard you create or that has been shared with you. You can switch between dashboards without having to navigate away from the IBM Cloud console. Or, you can choose to view a full list of your available dashboards and additional information by going to Manage > Account > Dashboards.

Dashboard management:

Notes widget

Check out the new notes widget to add markdown-styled text to your dashboard. You can use this widget to list details that could be beneficial for team members. For example, you can list key contacts, team details, or important links. The sky is the limit. Anyone using the dashboard will see this same information.
