Chief Information Security Officers

are calling in cognitive reinforcements.

IBM Security serves 12,000 clients in 133 countries, employing a global network of 8,000 security professionals that monitor more than 35 billion events per day. Now the team has Watson for Cyber Security to help clients analyze quickly and at scale vast amounts of unstructured data previously inaccessible to traditional security tools, including an estimated 10,000 security research papers published per year and 60,000 monthly security blogs. IBM X-Force Exchange, launched in 2016, allows companies to contribute to and draw from a shared pool of security information, with 700 terabytes of data captured on cyber threats. And in Massachusetts, IBM just built the first commercial “cyber range,” a state-of-the-art, immersive training facility that enables companies to prepare for cyberattacks by mimicking the way the military prepares–simulating every likely scenario in advance.
