Recovering an automatic view after the remote view agent (RVA) process dies

Troubleshooting


Problem

When the RVA process for an automatic view dies unexpectedly, the view is left in an unusable state.

Symptom

After the agent dies, the view tag remains visible on the network drive (for example R:), but the view is nonfunctional.

Resolving The Problem

Restart the host machine to resolve the problem.
