Vmmaxrestoresessions
The vmmaxrestoresessions option specifies the maximum number of IBM Spectrum Protect™ server sessions that can be included in an optimized restore operation for a virtual machine (VM).
A optimized restore operation is one in which parallel restore capability is enabled at the subdisk level of a virtual disk.
Supported clients
This option can be used with supported x86_64 Linux clients.
This option can be used with supported Windows clients. This option is not valid for Data Protection for Microsoft Hyper-V backups.
VMware operations are available only if the client operates as a data mover for IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments: Data Protection for VMware.
Options file
This option is valid in the client system options file (dsm.sys), in the client options file (dsm.opt), or on the command line for Restore VM. It can also be included on the server in a client options set. It cannot be set in the Preferences Editor.

Parameters
- integer
Specifies the number of IBM Spectrum Protect server sessions that are created during the restore operation. The default is 1. The maximum is 10.
