Installing the DOORS client that is to administer the DOORS system
The IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (DOORS) client runs on Windows systems only. To install DOORS, a DOORS administrator first installs the client that is to be used to administer the DOORS system. Then, the administrator installs the database server and sets up the administrator and database manager accounts on the client. At that point, team members who are not administrators can install the client on their computers.
Installing the DOORS database server
After you install the client that you plan to use to administer your IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (DOORS) system, install the database server. You can install the database server on Windows or Linux® systems.
Installing the DOORS client
The IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS client runs on Windows systems only. You can install the client on your computer after an administrator installs and configures the client and database server.
Silently installing DOORS on a Windows system
You can create installation scripts that contain preferred settings and then run the scripts to silently install the server and client across the network. You might silently install if you want to install the client and server again without running the client and server installers again.
DOORS installed on Citrix software
IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (DOORS) can be installed on a Citrix environment. You install DOORS in a central location and then can run the client as a remote desktop from multiple locations.
