Follow these steps to use IBM® Installation
Manager to install Rational® Agent
Controller on Windows, Linux, AIX®, Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86, or Linux s390 operating systems.
Before you begin
Before installing, ensure that your computer meets the
requirements.
To enable Installation Manager to search for the
latest available version of the software that you are installing,
ensure that you are connected to the Internet.
Note: You cannot
update Rational Agent Controller
version 8.3.x or earlier to the later versions. If you have version
8.3.x or earlier installed, uninstall it and then install the latest
version.
Note: An error might occur during installation if object
files of Agent Controller are loaded by running processes. To ensure
the object files can be modified, do the following:
- Close your Eclipse workbench.
- Stop all java.exe processes that contain either Java™ Profiling Agent or J2EE Request Profiler.
