Reporting logging and statistics data to IBM Cloud Log Analysis and displaying it in a Kibana dashboard

You can configure your integration servers to send logging, resource statistics, and message flow statistics and accounting data to IBM® Cloud Log Analysis, and you can then display the reported information in a Kibana dashboard.

About this task

Complete the following steps to enable your IBM Integration Bus integration servers to send logging data, resource statistics, and message flow statistics and accounting information to IBM Cloud Log Analysis:

Procedure

  1. Create an account in IBM Cloud.
    In the IBM Cloud welcome page, click Create an account and follow the instructions. For more information, see Signing up for IBM Cloud.
  2. Configure your instance of the Log Analysis service, as described in Configuring the IBM Cloud Log Analysis service.
  3. The Log Analysis service located in the us-south region requires the highest level of SSL encryption. If you have not already updated your Java runtime to this level, complete the steps described in Downloading and installing the unrestricted JCE policy files.
  4. Configure your integration servers to send logging data, statistics and accounting data, and resource statistics to IBM Cloud Log Analysis, by following the steps in Configuring an integration server to send logging and statistics data to a Log Analysis service in IBM Cloud.
  5. View the logging data, resource statistics, and message flow statistics and accounting data for all your integration servers in the IBM Integration Bus Kibana dashboard, as described in Viewing logging and statistics information in the IBM Integration Bus Kibana dashboard in IBM Cloud.
