Configuring server identity

When using a federated repository, if the IBM® Business Monitor server is configured to receive events from a remote common event infrastructure (CEI) server, and the remote CEI server is a network deployment server, then you must specify a server identity to enable communication between the local server and the remote server.

About this task

To specify a server identity using the administrative console, complete the following steps:

Procedure

  1. From the administrative console navigation panel, click Security > Global security.
  2. Under User account repository, verify that the Current realm definition is set to Federated repositories.
  3. Under Available realm definitions, select Federated repositories and then click Configure.
  4. Under Server user identity, select Server identity that is stored in the repository.
  5. In the Server user ID field, enter a user ID that exists in both the local cell and the remote cell. Leave the Password field blank.
  6. Click Apply.
  7. Click Save to save the changes to the master configuration.
  8. Restart the server.
