The Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) provides facilities for the runtime environment to persistently store and retrieve events from many different programming environments. Events are represented using the Common Base Event model, a standard, XML-based format that defines the structure of an event. Events flow from applications to the common event infrastructure and then to IBM® Business Monitor.
