Generate data deduplication statistics for specified nodes and file spaces

With IBM Spectrum Protect™ Version 8.1.5, you can generate data deduplication statistics on a regularly scheduled basis for specified nodes, node groups, and file spaces. By using the DEFINE STGRULE command, you can generate statistics at the same time each day, or at specified intervals.

To generate statistics on an ad hoc basis, you can run the GENERATE DEDUPSTATS command, followed by the QUERY DEDUPSTATS command. Starting in V8.1.5, you can limit the output of both commands by specifying node lists, node groups, and file spaces. In addition, when you run the QUERY DEDUPSTATS command, you can obtain a summary report of statistics for a specified set of nodes, node groups, and file spaces.
