What’s new in ITCAM for Transactions V7.4
In this release of ITCAM for Transactions, updates that were included in the previous release are consolidated. New features are described in this section.

New for all product agents
The
following updates apply to all ITCAM for Transactions agents:
- Self-describing agents (SDA) : support for IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2 FP3 and later
Internet Service Monitoring updates
ITCAM for Transactions V7.4 iFix 3 and later includes multiple administrator support, for editing profiles from multiple Internet Service Monitoring Configuration windows and Internet Service Monitoring Configuration command-line interfaces simultaneously.
Response Time updates
The Response Time component of ITCAM for Transactions has the following
updates:
- Application Management Console (T3): defaults have been changed so that Application Management Console does not accept SOAP connections, unless the user has been supplied with a certificate set up by their administrator.
- Client Response Time (T4): Client Response Time is deprecated in ITCAM for Transactions V7.4. For alternatives, see Migrating from Client Response Time to Transaction Reporter.
- Web Response Time (T5): support for decoding other protocols in addition to HTTP, including TCP, FTP and so on.
- Robotic Response Time (T6): no longer supports IBM Rational Robot.
Transaction Tracking updates
The Transaction Tracking component of ITCAM for Transactions has the following
updates:
- Multiple Transaction Reporters: support added for the use of multiple reporters and implied remote nodes in the topology.
- New data collector: CICS TXSeries Data Collector integrates with CICS TXSeries for AIX and collects data related to CICS TXSeries transactions and programs.
- .NET Data Collector: The .NET Data Collector is no longer included in ITCAM for Transactions. Instead, it is included in ITCAM for Microsoft Applications V6.3 and later. See .NET Data Collector in the ITCAM for Microsoft Applications information center for more information.
- Support updates: support added for AIX 64-bit for Transaction Collector and Transaction Reporter.
- Support for first-class Web Service: Data Collector for WebSphere Message Broker now supports the first-class Web Service feature introduced in WebSphere Message Broker V8.0.0.1
- IBM i: Support for MQ data collector on IBM i systems deprecated.
