Last-minute information

  • MISRA98 Compliancy:
    Do not use the Misra98 profile together with the following profiles:
    • AR3x_BMT
    • AutomotiveC
    • MicroC
    These profiles already include MISRA compliancy.
  • Installation:
    During the installation of Rational Rhapsody, you will be asked to provide a license key. Below are the steps for obtaining a license key:
    1. Go to Rational support at http://www.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing/.
    2. Click the link to the License Key Center.
    3. Click Continue.
    4. To log in to the center, type your e-mail address and your password. This password was sent in a Welcome letter to your e-mail address when your name was added to the License Key Center at the time of purchase or by your License Key Center administrator. If you do not have an account in License Key Center, you need to select "Don’t have a password" from the Login screen and enter the requested information including your IBM site ID and your sales order. If you do not know either of these, ask your company’s Primary Site Contact to add you to the account.
    5. If you are a member of more than one account, select the account you wish to access.
    6. In the License Key Center, select the task you wish to perform, such as Get Keys, Return Keys.

  • WebComponentsDLL.dll:
    If you are building WebComponentsDLL.dll for a specific environment, add the following line to the file ..Share\LangJava\src\webComponentsDLL.bat:
    set include=%include%;%JDK_INCLUDE_PATH%;%JDK_INCLUDE_PATH%\win32
    and replace %JDK_INCLUDE_PATH% with the path to the include subdirectory of your JDK directory.
  • Web Services library:
    For specific instructions on building the Web Services library for different environments, see Building the Rational Rhapsody WebServices Library.
  • Documentation for previous releases of the product:
    The Information Center (documentation) included with the installation of Rational Rhapsody 7.5.1 is applicable to this version of the product. However, you can always view the documentation for previous versions of the product by viewing the Information Center for that release on the Web. Help content for previous product releases can be found here.

Supported RTOSes

Rhapsody support for different real-time operating systems (RTOSes) is generic and can be customized to most existing systems.

The supported Rhapsody capabilities, platforms, and third-party product integrations have undergone formal testing. Although not explicitly listed or formally tested, other integrations are available.

Contact your sales representative or Customer Support with specific inquiries.

Rhapsody provides pre-customized support for the RTOSes shown below. Pre-customized support in Rhapsody means that a set of preconfigured code generation properties are provided for the environment:

  • Precompiled versions of the relevant framework libraries are provided.
  • The precompiled framework libraries have been fully tested.

RTOS support is available only in the Developer package. The Designer package includes makefiles for building the framework on Windows only.
