What addresses must be unblocked to permit the updating of IBM Rational Software Development Platform Team products versions 7.0.2.x, 7.0.3.x, and 7.1.x using IBM Installation Manager?

Cause

These Rational Team products utilize IBM Installation Manager for deployment and upgrades:


Rational 7.1.2.x, 7.1.1.x and 7.1.0.x Team products:

  • Rational ClearCase
  • Rational ClearQuest
  • Rational RequistePro

Rational 7.0.4.x, 7.0.3.x and 7.0.2.x Team products:
  • Rational Project Console
  • Rational Robot
  • Rational SoDA

Rational Team product, version 7.0.2.x only:
  • Rational TestManager

Rational Licensing:
  • Rational License Key Administrator 8.1.1
  • Rational License Key Server 8.1.1
  • Rational License Server 7.1.1.x and 7.1.0.x


You can upgrade these products over the Internet using the IBM download site. This is the default upgrade method that will occur if you do not have local, intranet update repositories. If you enforce network security, users will need granted access to the download sites.

Notes:

  • You must download releases 7.1.2, 7.1.1, 7.0.4, or 7.0.3 from Passport Advantage to perform a full product installation. This is necessary if you do not have an existing installation of the products.
  • If, for example, you are upgrading to versions 7.1.1 and 7.0.3 from versions of 7.1.0.x and 7.0.2.x using a local, intranet repository, you must download versions 7.1.1 and 7.0.3 from Passport Advantage. You can use these downloads to establish your repositories.
